NOPI Englishtown

The first day of the NOPI Englishtown tour stop was not one enjoyed by the many die hard fans that attended. But even through the winded chills and clouded skies, fans of NOPI showed how die hard they can be. While the drag competitors go head to head on the Englishtown stretch, the drift competition was heating up as the NOPI drifters pushed their vehicle to the limit for the finals the next day. Both the drag strip and drift course provided the necessary heat needed, but as far as the NOPI Chics go, they were all bundled up.

Even though the first day was not as enjoyable (mainly because the weather sucks), the returning NOPI fans was awarded with nothing other than blue skies, sunshine and of course, the NOPI chics in their bikinis. Cooper Tires, Full Race, Performance JDM, GM, NOS, Xplod and many more vendors were on hand representing their products and giving out free shirts and gifts. But with all that's being said, the highlight of the NOPI Englishtown tour stop was not just the drag event or the drift course, it was mainly the bikini contest, with the NOPI chics showing the crowd why they are who they are.

HIN DC 08

When i first got to the Dulles Expo Center the parking lot was pretty much empty, but as soon as the show started, everybody was rolling in filling up each individual parking space available. It's safe to say that HIN was pretty much going on inside and out. There were people with their rides hooked up outside in the parking lot with the crowds of people surrounding whatever caught their attention. Inside, we had the MC battles and the Bboy competition shortly afterwards on the urban stage. The model booth was hosted by the likes of KT-So, Jenny Chu and Ursula Mayes to meet and greet their fans (but of course there were models walking around everywhere). From the hot cars to the even hotter models standing next to them, no one in DC even realized the Pope came and visit. (If you missed HIN in DC, then you can catch Nightshift at Landover, MD. in June.)

Street Wars IV
Written by Pheak
Tuesday, 15 April 2008

Despite society's view on tuners as trouble making car thieves with nothing else better to do but rally up and roll around with our speakers up and our windows down, we tuners rallied up and rolled straight into the Richard Stockton College parking lot in support of the war against breast cancer. Being cold and windy, the weather was still not enough to stop the many tuner enthusiasts of the Northeast from showing up and supporting the cause. The event was sponsored by Pride Performance, NOS energy drink, and NJTuners and raised over $10,000 towards funding for the cure.

Philly Auto Show 2008
Written by Pheak
Wednesday, 13 February 2008

sns2736.jpgSnsmagonline.com would like to thank Erin Allsman from the brownsteingroup for her help in allowing us to attend the Philly International Auto Show as a media representative. Going into the Auto Show, we were expecting to see what any other auto enthusiast would, concepts (there wasn't much of that to see, unfortunately). But the only thing going through my mind was the "GT-R".  Entering the Philadelphia Convention Center, I made my way to the Tuner Car Salon in hopes of seeing some representation from the import scene. From what I've heard about the past shows, it's a must see for any import enthusiast. But when I walked into 1 half of the tuner section, I was pretty much disappointed when there were only 2-3 cars worth seeing (which is the same numbers of tuned cars there). I was, however fortunate enough to bump into the creator and people of clearstarmediagroup that were there to showoff what they're all about, fine-tuning and creatively designed vehicles. If you want to learn more about clearstarmediagroup then you can visit their site at www.clearstarmediagroup.com.

From the McLaren SLR (a car inspired by the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR), to the 2008 Audi R8, to the exotics from F. C. Berbeck, nothing caught my attention more than the GT-R by Nissan. I was hoping to see more concepts from the list of vehicles being showcased, but that ceased to exist when I finally laid my eyes on the GT-R. This latest R35, all-wheel drive packs more turbocharged power and more speed than any Japanese car to ever come to America. With the base price being around $70,000, I'm pretty sure it will give the Corvette Z06 a run for the title of "best value supercar" (and I'm pretty sure a lot of piggy banks will be broken into as well).

The Philadelphia International Auto Show didn't offer much when it came to concept vehicles, at least that's what I was picturing in my head when the name comes to play, but if you're out to purchase any new '08-'09 model automobiles then it would've been the perfect place to go to. Nonetheless, it was a great show and as always, looking forward to next year's.
